| Abstract: | La presente investigación se realizó en el emprendimiento Cavernas Chikillu Elefante, dedicado a la oferta de senderismo y espeleísmo, dentro de la prestación de servicios de guianza se realiza la interpretación de plantas medicinales, sin embargo, el lugar no dispone de un documento que sirva de material de apoyo. El trabajo propone la elaboración del “Guion Interpretativo de Plantas medicinales para el Emprendimiento Cavernas Chikillu Elefante”, que servirá como herramienta para sus intérpretes y así mejorar el servicio de guianza turística. Con este fin se realizó la recopilación de información, aplicando la observación directa durante la investigación de campo, logrando identificar un total de 23 plantas medicinales en los dos senderos, 16 plantas en la primera ruta denominada “Cultura y aventura” y 7 plantas en la segunda ruta “Templo del Shamán”, posterior a la identificación se procedió a dar soporte a la información, a través de la investigación bibliográfica y descriptiva, agregando datos sobre el uso medicinal, preparación y valor cultural de las plantas, obteniendo como resultado final un documento valioso para mejorar la interpretación turística de las plantas medicinales y promover la revitalización de los saberes ancestrales del pueblo kichwa. |
| Description: | The current study was carried out with the participation of the Chikillu Elephant Caverns company, which provides hiking and caving tours. However, the company does not have a document that serves as reference material for the medicinal plants found on their routes. This study presents the first “Interpretive Script of Medicinal Plants for the Chikillu Elephant Cavern Entrepreneurship”, which will serve as a tool for guides and thus improve the quality of services provided. To this end, data was collected through direct observation in the field. A total of 23 medicinal plants were identified on the two trails, named "Culture and Adventure" and “Temple of the Shaman”, respectively. 16 plants were identified on "Culture and Adventure" and 7 plants on the “Temple of the Shaman”. Data collected on these two routes was supported by bibliographic and descriptive research, expanding on the medicinal uses, preparation and cultural value of the respective plants. The result of the current study is a document which has potential to improve the appreciation of medicinal plants and promote the revitalization of the ancestral knowledge of the Kichwa people. |
