| dc.description | El presente proyecto tuvo como propósito desarrollar un sistema web tipo diccionario bilingüe kichwa-español, diseñado como una herramienta digital interactiva, accesible y educativa para facilitar el aprendizaje del idioma kichwa. La investigación se enmarcó en un enfoque cualitativo y aplicado, respaldado por el levantamiento de información mediante encuestas dirigidas a personas adultas del cantón Tena, con una muestra representativa de 194 participantes. El sistema fue implementado utilizando Python 3.13.3, el framework Django 4.2.23 y la base de datos MariaDB 12.10.0. Entre sus principales funcionalidades destacan: la búsqueda de términos en kichwa y español, la visualización de fichas ilustrativas, un sistema de registro con autenticación y validaciones estrictas, así como un perfil de usuario para el seguimiento del progreso individual. Como parte del contenido, el sistema integra un total de 4509 palabras con sus respectivas traducciones, distribuidas de forma estructurada para facilitar la consulta. Además, se incorporaron cuatro minijuegos educativos como estrategia de refuerzo lúdico. Los resultados del desarrollo evidenciaron el cumplimiento de los objetivos planteados, brindando una experiencia de uso amigable y adaptada al contexto educativo local. | dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this project was to develop a bilingual Kichwa–Spanish web-based dictionary system, designed as an interactive, accessible, and educational digital tool to support the learning of the Kichwa language. The research followed a qualitative and applied approach, supported by data collected through surveys given to adults from the Tena canton, with a representative sample of 194 participants. The system was implemented using Python 3.13.3, the Django 4.2.23 framework, and the MariaDB 12.10.0 database. Its main features include: searching for terms in both Kichwa and Spanish, displaying illustrated word cards, a registration system with strict authentication and validations, and a user profile to track individual progress. The content includes a total of 4,509 words with their respective translations, organized in a structured way to make consultation easier. In addition, four educational mini-games were included as a playful reinforcement strategy. The development results showed that the project’s objectives were successfully met, offering a user-friendly experience adapted to the local educational context.
