DESARROLLO DE UN SISTEMA WEB PARA LA GESTIÓN DE PROCESOS EN LA UNIDAD DE INTEGRACIÓN CURRICULAR DEL INSTITUTO SUPERIOR TECNOLÓGICO TENA

Abstract

This project presents the development of KatinaTec, a web-based system designed to improve process management in the Curricular Integration Unit at the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Tena. The main issue identified is the lack of technological tools to streamline the organization, tracking, and analysis of curricular processes. To address this, the system was designed using a structured approach, analyzing open-source technologies and defining both functional and non-functional requirements. The database model and architecture were built using the Django framework, adhering to open-source software standards. Before full implementation, preliminary functional tests were carried out with simulated data, generating dynamic reports and demonstrating the system’s feasibility for future deployment. The findings highlight that KatinaTec will significantly enhance institutional management by automating processes, providing real-time reporting, and promoting the use of accessible and sustainable technological tools.
