LA INTELIGENCIA EMOCIONAL Y SU RELACIÓN CON EL DESEMPEÑO LABORAL DE LOS DOCENTES DEL INSTITUTO SUPERIOR TECNOLÓGICO TENA

Abstract

The word of curricular integration was carried out on the basis of a research with the objective of identifying the difficulty in managing emotions within the work enviroment of the teachers of the Tena Higher Technological Institute, thus identifying that the main problem is the lack of selfknowlegde due to not being. Able to recognize their own feelings, thoughts and behaviors, as well as understand how they are related, the research was developed under a qualitative-quantitative approach that can determine the determining characteristics of said problem and in the same way provide numerical value to the information obtained through the tool. Of a survey to meet emotional intelligence and its relationship with the work performance of teachers at the Tena Higher Technological Institute, determining that the population of 47 teachers has allowed us to obtain information that 53% of teachers always pay attention to their feelings demonstrated a personal identity giving value to self-knowledge and on the other hand, 45% of teachers always accept their mistakes, being the first step towards continuos improvement, since it allowed reflection on practices and the implementation of necessary changes. With the help of the survey, it was possible to conclude the components of emotional intelligence and the indicators of work performance. In addition to this, the responses obtained through the questionnaires were analyzed and according to the results, an activity plan for active spaces was developed to improve emotional intelligence in the work performance of teachers.
