| Abstract: | La investigación es de tipo descriptivo para promover la importancia de la higiene bucal en niños de 9 a 12 años en la Unidad Educativa Milenio San Miguel provincia Sucumbíos, en la encuesta realizada a 104 estudiantes se evaluó las condiciones sociodemográficas y de conocimiento que tiene cada uno de ellos. Dando como resultado un desconocimiento sobre sobre las enfermedades bucales que representa un 72%, por ello este estudio se planteó el objetivo de saber el estado actual sobre el ámbito de la higiene bucodental de los escolares, ya que la limpieza bucal diaria es importante para la salud porque evita que la acumulación de bacterias que pueden provocar daños en el esmalte del diente y pueden formarse caries como otras enfermedades relacionadas por la mala higiene. Por ello el diseño de un proyecto educativo sobre la importancia de la higiene bucal busca crear conciencia en los alumnos respecto a sus cuidados bucodentales, ya que al motivarlos a cuidar sus órganos dentarios crearan hábitos necesarios para mantener a largo plazo una buena salud oral. |
| Description: | The research is descriptive to promote the importance of oral hygiene in children aged 9 to 12 years in the Educational Unit Milenio San Miguel Sucumbíos province, in the survey conducted to 104 students assessed the sociodemographic conditions and knowledge that each from them. Resulting in a lack of knowledge about oral diseases, which represents 72%, so this study aimed to know the current state of oral hygiene of schoolchildren, since daily oral cleaning is important for the health because it prevents the accumulation of bacteria that can cause damage to the enamel of the tooth and can form caries like other diseases related by poor hygiene. Therefore, the design of an educational project on the importance of oral hygiene seeks to raise awareness among students about their oral care, as motivating them to care for their dental organs will create habits necessary to maintain good oral health in the long term. |
